One day after the crisis ended on Friday, February 11, 1977, the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office gave a press conference in the City-County Building. Local and national media posed questions to Marion County Sheriff Lawrence Broderick, Deputy Prosecutor George Martz, WIBC News Director Fred Heckman, and IPD Chief of Police Eugene Gallagher, but it was Dick Hall who captured everyone’s attention as he read a short statement and took questions from reporters.
