The Mardon DeMichele Tapes 

In the early 1980s, Mardon DeMichele wrote about the Kiritsis case for his master's thesis at Ball State University. Part of his project was to interview Chris Duffy, Vice President and General Manager of WTHR 13 and the one who made the decision to drop coverage of the “Thursday Night News Conference.” Also included in the project were interviews with WIBC news director Fred Heckman and WISH-TV news anchor Mike Ahern. Prophetic in many ways, the discussion about the way in which terrorists could hijack the media is relevant today. Many thanks to Mardon and Ball State for this great archive!
